The Versatile Blogger Award

The Versatile Blogger Award

I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by Katie of Rolling On. You can read her post about her own nomination right here!

I was so excited to be nominated for this! I love how supportive the blogging community is. I’ve only been blogging for a few months now and I was pleasantly surprised to find how many wonderful, supportive, sweet people are in the community. I was so scared to start my blog but once I did, I never looked back and I haven’t regretted a second of it.

Thank you so much for the nomination, Katie!

7 Facts About Me!

1 – I am terrible at recognizing and remembering faces. I struggle with telling people apart in movies and TV shows. If someone changes their haircut or grows/shaves their facial hair, it is also difficult for me to recognize them. I have seen coworkers in public before and didn’t recognize them right away because it was a different context. I remember people by their height, body type, and hair… I have no idea how to memorize a face. It’s difficult, but I manage.

2 – I have dyed my hair almost every color, except for blue and bright yellow. My favorite hair I’ve ever had is pink hair and I miss it so much. I’ve never been the type of person who has been afraid or nervous about changing my hair. However, I am picky about who I let touch my hair!

3 – I’m cold a lot. I am vitamin-D deficient, and sometimes my iron levels dip pretty low as well. I sleep with several blankets and I think 55F/12C is cold enough to warrant a jacket. However, I do love when it gets cold enough to snow because I almost never see snow.

4 – When I was in college, I took voice lessons for three years and I performed a solo vocal recital my senior year! I only took lessons for fun and I wasn’t required to do a recital, but I really wanted to and they actually allowed me to do it. It was nerve-wracking and it took a lot of hard work, but it was worth it!

5 – I believe heavily in astrology; it goes so much farther and more in-depth than daily horoscopes or your birthday. You actually have multiple “signs” depending on when specifically you were born, for each planet plus your sun/moon and your rising sign, which is the sign that was “rising” when you were born. And that honestly doesn’t even scratch the surface! I’ve been interested in astrology since I was about 6 or 7. I think being a professional astrologer would be a fascinating career.

6 – A huge pet peeve of mine is when people don’t close the kitchen cabinets after getting a dish or a cup. I don’t know why. It just bugs me! It’s something that doesn’t even really matter, but it annoys me so much.

7 – I cannot apply false lashes to save my life. I have tried… it just doesn’t happen! I also have no idea what I would do with them if I actually got them on my eyes.

Hahah I loved reading about you Jackie! I really want to dye my hair pink … the pastel pink kind! Also blue is right up there with pink! I don’t know anyone who doesn’t close the kitchen cupboard or cabinet after getting something out but I’m sure that would bug me as well haha! Thank you for nominating me, I can’t wait to do mine!

I really love astrology too! Lately I’ve been trying to learn more about my other signs, and it’s just interesting to look into. I feel like I’m always browsing through all of those posts about the signs (you know, like how each sign shows they like you, what they’re good at, etc.) online in my spare time too. And that’s awesome that you’ve dyed your hair so many colors! I’ve only kind of done it once when I decided to just dye the tips of my hair for the month of October/Halloween (I was Harley Quinn, so half blue, half red). It was really fun but my parents were like ‘what did you do’ haha. Thanks for tagging me,, I’m looking forward to doing this! 🙂

I LOVE astrology. I could legitimately talk about it all day!

I didn’t dye my hair a lot when I was younger because my mom wasn’t too pleased with the idea. Now that I’m older she’s warmed up to it a lot more.

And you’re welcome! I’m looking forward to reading your responses! Thanks for reading!

Oh my gosh – I SO relate to you! Except anything below 70F is cold to me and I’ve had blue hair before!

I used to think everything below 70F was cold when I was younger!!!
